Susan spent her early years on the Klamath and Yakima Indian Reservations, where her father served as the forest manager for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She moved to West Seattle in the 1970's and has remained here ever since. She loves the community's small-town atmosphere, convenience, and many beautiful parks. Susan embraces the cultural diversity Seattle has to offer. She earned a bachelor's degree in education and taught middle and elementary school before becoming a realtor in 1989. The single mother of four children ages 18-28, Susan loves her role as Mom, whether it's helping backstage at ballet recitals or cheering on the sidelines at soccer matches. She's been active with a range of community service organizations and projects including Camp Fire, Community Service Day, Adopt a Family and Project Cool which provides school supplies and clothing for homeless students. When she gets the chance, she escapes to the mountains for some skiing.
